Maryland Man Allegedly Hits Parked Car, Faces DUI Charge

|

Mistakes are a part of normal life, but there are some cases in which a mistake can have a big impact on a person's life. When the mistake has to do with driving while intoxicated, it is important for the person who made the mistake to work toward presenting his or her side of the story in a strong defense strategy. A recent incident out of West Ocean City is one in which the defendant must ensure that he is aware of how being convicted of the charges against him could have a long-lasting effect on his life.

The man was arrested by the Maryland State Police in connection with a hit-and-run accident. He allegedly hit a parked car and then left the scene of the accident. Troopers determined that the 30-year-old man slammed into the car while he was trying to park his 2008 Ford pickup. The accident was witnessed by the car's owner.

The defendant's truck was found on the condominium complex's far side. When they found the man, he appeared to be intoxicated. He was found to have a blood alcohol concentration of .22. He was then charged with a DUI.

This 30-year-old man is accused of making bad choices. Those choices could cause his reputation to be ruined. They might also affect other aspects of his life. Determining how to minimize these impacts is likely on the forefront of his mind. Anyone who is facing similar charges likely wants to find legal ways to minimize the damage, which might be done by presenting a strong defense.
